| So my brother just got home from college and as much as I'm glad to see
him the house seems 10 times smaller. Usually around 10:00 pm or
so on school nights my sister is in bed and my parents are in their
bedroom. At that time the house is my domain. I turn all
the lights off, sit on my computer throne, and quitely listen to Dave
Matthews Band, Coldplay, or other bands while doing homework. But now that he's home,
he's up watching TV till 11:00. This causes my sister to stay
awake and come downstairs. This then keeps my mother and father
up till later into the night. And my house is suddently light up
and full of unwanted noises and people talking. Sometimes you just need the house
to yourself.
The new Dave Matthews Band CD, "Stand Up", came out last Tuesday and I
must say it is really good. I believe that Mr. Matthews has moved
out of his jam-bandy 90's music and has changed his style for the
better. Personal favorite song on the album is 'Dreamgirl.'
If you haven't listened to it, I recommend that you should.

| Tonight could have possibly been the best Wednesday night of my
life. What the hell, it was the best Wednesday of my life.
Here are the reasons:
a) It's my birthday.
b) Guster Concert.
c) Guster Concert.
d) It's my birthday.
My day kicked off with me becoming 17. I can get into R-rated
movies and can almost smoke. Thank you to everyone who thought of
me throughout the day it really meant a lot to me. A special
thank you to Mandy and Melissa for the "SCRUBS" coffee mug you got me
in New York. That evening I came home to unwrap the 5th season of
Simpsons on DVD. Personal favorite episodes include "Homer's
Barbershop Quartet" and "Marge on the Lam." Hilarious.
But last but certainely not least was the Guster concert. At
first I got a little nervous wondering how good the show was going to
be considering the first band had produced 5+ cds all about
hockey. It sucked. But it turned out to be more enjoyable
than the Dave Matthews concert last summer. Seriously, not lying.
It is 12:04 when I'm writing this so my birthday is over. Happy Birthday Chelsey. Mine kicked ass.

| Tonight was pretty good. Just hung out @ my house with some
people. We were gonna go to copper rock but when we got there we
found out there was a 2 dollar cover charge for a crappy guy on guitar
that we didn't want to listen to.
This Wednesday (my birthday) I'm going to the guster concert and I'm
extremely excited. If you guys haven't listened to Guster I
suggest you should because they are a great band. Jake Truby
recommends the song entitled "Happier".
We found out today that the good people organizine the YMCA "after prom
bash" had no intentions of giving our band a PA system or even a stage
for that matter. So now we have to go through a ton of work so we
can have some amplification for when we play. We also
conveniently go on @ 2:30-4 am. If you prom goers are lookin for
something to do stop by around then. Despite the PA system
incident we're still very excited for the show.

| This week has been a tough week of school. This part of the year
is the worst because despite the warm weather, the birds chirping, the
kids outside playing, and the sun setting, you still need to do
homework and study for that Trig test that you have no knowledge
about. This is also the time when teachers realize that they are
behind on teaching and give you more homework every night to catch
up.
So my guster tickets haven't come in the mail yet...and the shows on
April 27th. If you pre-ordered them off their website and they
haven't come to you either let me know so I feel better.
Coldplay is a good band.

| Lukas Bane's father is getting a Dodge Magnum. I want a Dodge Magnum.
Somewhere on "girl's night outs" all across America, women sit around
together talking about how mature their boyfriends are. Now I
personally am not dating anyone, but I can honestly say that is a not
true. Tonight me, Stephen, Andy, Charlie, and Mark decided to go
to Wal-Mart, the cure for boredom, and screwed around for an
hour. After purchasing a Nerf gun and multiple $1 "fun blasters",
we proceded to drive to the Universal Playground. Here we quickly
found out that rocks, if thrown high enough, can break ice. Thus
for the next hour we searched the park for giant rocks, most of them
underwater at the edge of the lake, and threw them into the ice in
hopes to break it. When the ice maintained its structure, our
mental process was "get more/bigger rocks." And we did. By
the end we all looked like 5 year olds coming home on a hot summer
night- dirty and sore. We all crammed into the Toyota Camry and
concluded that it was a fun night, despite our freezing hands and muddy
shoes. This is what happens on "guys nights out" (at our age and
if you dont drink). You just screw around for hours on end.
If you are female and you think your boyfriend doesn't do this...ever,
you're dead wrong.
